  • 7:45 AM arrival at Granatier Sportsplex

Off-Ice & Development Blocks

Supported school-directed learning time

From October through May, students in the Granatier Player Academy will access instruction one morning each week while staying connected to their learning. Granatier staff will support three subject areas and provide access to online learning materials, with time built in for independent work and support. Your child’s homeroom teacher will monitor learning and continue to assess and report on Religion, Health, and Physical Education. This approach allows students to balance athletic development with learning, operating with the understanding that some students may be required to work outside the school day to stay on pace with their peers.

Video session (game understanding, habits, and skill breakdown)

  • Time on the skating treadmill

  • Training in the shooting centre

These components are built into every academy day to support complete player development—physically, mentally, and academically.

Return to School

  • Students are bused back to school at 11:45 AM

The half day academy allows students to develop the necessary skills to make all the development improvements they want, while still making sure education is a key focus in their development!
