Brett Boehm

Brett Boehm is a 25-year-old highly successful hockey player born and raised in Martensville, SK. He has a lifetime of hockey experience. Brett started skating at the young age of 3 and started playing hockey at the age of 5. He first started playing hockey with the Martensville Marauders for his younger years. In his Novice, Atom and Pee Wee years he played summer hockey for Sask-Can. At the age of 15 in his first year of Midget he played AA for Martensville Marauders coach Courage Bear. The next season he then made the Midget AAA Beardy’s Blackhawks team for his last two years of Midget. In 2011-2012 season he led the Midget AAA league in points. Brett and his team competed in the Midget AAA Mac’s tournament in Calgary, AB where he was the top scorer of the tournament. This opportunity allowed him to be seen by scouts. In his grade 12 year (17 years old) he signed a full-ride scholarship to the University of Minnesota Duluth Division I hockey team to join them at age 20 after a few years of Junior Hockey experience. At 18, Brett moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba to play for the Flin Flon Bombers and compete in the SJHL. In his rookie season he was awarded with Rookie of the Year and was in the top 10 in points in the league. In his second year, he was traded to the Yorkton Terriers of the SJHL at Christmas, where he went on to win the SJHL Canalta Cup, the Western Canada Cup (where he was the top scorer) and the RBC Cup. That season Brett finished 2nd in the league in overall points. In the 2014-15 season Brett moved to Minnesota for his freshman year in the Division I hockey league. Due to unforeseen family circumstances, Brett decided to return to the SJHL in January to finish his Junior career with the Flin Flon Bombers. In the spring of this season, Brett accepted a full-ride hockey scholarship to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. He red-shirted for the University team while playing senior men’s hockey in Kyle, Saskatchewan for the Elks. Brett has played for the Elks for 5 years now where the team has won 3 League Championships and 3 Provincial Championships.

Over the course of his hockey career he has been decorated with many awards and achievements. In his final season on the Midget AAA Beardy’s Blackhawks team, Brett was awarded with SMHL First All-Star Team, SMHL Most Assists (46), SMHL Most Goals (40), SMHL Most Points (86), and the SMHL Top Forward awards. In his rookie season with Flin Flon, Brett received SJHL Rookie of the Year. In his second year of his junior hockey career, the 2013-2014 season, Brett and his team were the SJHL, Western Canada Cup and RBC Cup Champions. He is a 3-time SVHL and Provincial Champion with the Kyle Elks.

Brett Boehm is a highly experienced, successful hockey player who has learned knowledge from top coaches all over North America. He has a passion and drive for hockey and all that comes with it. He has learned many valuable life skills through his hockey career as well as built many lifelong connections and friendships.
