U5 (Athletes must be able to skate independently for this program)

This camp focuses on all aspects of hockey! Edge work, stride, puck control, situational play and strength training are just some of the skills that we will focus on. **All athletes must be able to skate independently and have full hockey equipment**
Mar 27 - May 29 • 8 Sessions
Monday Sessions start Monday March 27th and run until Monday May 29th (No sessions Monday April 10th or Monday May 22nd) . Tuesday sessions start Tuesday March 28th and runs until Tuesday May 23rd (No sessions Tuesday April 11th)
PRE SCHOOL LEARN TO SKATE
This program is an introductory session for children 3-5 years old with no previous skating experience. The sessions are designed to teach basic skills of skating. Skaters will develop the fundamental skills of balance, agility and control as well as building confidence. All classes will include fun and games in small groups to create an enjoyable skating experience
Mar 28 - May 29 • 8 Sessions
Power Skating and Core Skills run from Monday March 26th to Monday May 29th (No Sessions Monday April 10th or Monday May 22nd)
U7/U9/U11 Power Skating (Athletes must have skating experience to be in this program)
Skaters will develop better balance, power and agility by focusing on the key components of power skating to become a stronger, more efficient skater. Lessons will focus on edge control and the correct technique in the following areas to provide a strong base in skill development. Forward and backward skating (maximum skating efficiency/lengthening your stride), crossovers, acceleration, stops, turns and pivots, agility, balance, control and power
Core Skills
The CORE SKILLS program is available to skaters 6 and over who are taking their first steps on ice or already have some skating experience. Coaches will use entertaining activities to teach fundamental core skills of ice skating. Skaters will progress through six levels of skills which will include forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers and turns. All skaters will progress at their own pace working towards mastering each skill with agility, balance and coordination. Skaters will be grouped according to skill level
