Granatier Development Pathway
Oct 13 - Dec 15 • All sessions run for 10 weeks!
Introduced last winter, the Granatier Development Pathway is comprised of Core Skills, Intermediate Skills, & Advanced Skills and acknowledges that not every athlete is at the same point in their development. We aim to group our development sessions by your skill level not just your age, that way the programming being offered is appropriate and challenging for all participants!
Core Skills:
Designed for players in the U7 & U9 categories and/or for an older player lacking in strong fundamentals. A major focus is on making sure skating skills are at a level that allows them to move freely with/without a puck, stop both ways and turn sharp. Gradually working them up to a level where they can carry a puck without breakdowns in stride/mechanics.
Advanced Skills:
Designed for players in the U9-U13 categories that have played at a Tier 2 (A) or higher level coming into this season and/or graduated our Intermediate Skills. Players at this level should already have mastery of core/foundational skills like skating & passing, and be ready to take their development to the next level. The focus of this progression would be the addition of higher-end skating and providing the tools to make plays at a high speed as well as working on more elite puck and shooting skills.
